Welcome to David Galindo Therapy, Counselling in North London and Online
Counselling is an opportunity to explore your thoughts and emotions with a trained, compassionate, and supportive therapist. For therapy to be effective, I believe it must happen in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential setting. It can help you reconnect with your inner strengths, understand yourself better, and gain clarity about your thoughts and feelings.
By offering space to reflect, therapy supports you in uncovering what’s really going on beneath the surface. I work with a humanistic integrative approach, placing you at the heart of the process at every stage. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back and how your current struggles may be affecting your true sense of self.

Humanistic Integrative Counselling in North London
Welcome, and thank you for visiting David Galindo Therapy.
Hello, I’m David – an experienced, accredited Humanistic Integrative Counsellor with years of supporting people through life’s challenges. Over time, I’ve helped individuals work through difficult emotions, break unhelpful patterns, and move toward a more confident version of themselves.
Do you feel like you’re stuck, unable to move forward, or that life is repeating in a draining and exhausting cycle?
Perhaps you feel emotionally blocked, lost, or unsure about what the next step looks like. These feelings may be rooted in sadness, stress, or symptoms of depression that cloud your energy and outlook. Work-related stress, in particular, can become overwhelming and slowly strip life of its meaning, joy, and spontaneity. With mounting anxiety, your relationships might begin to feel distant, confusing, or even toxic over time.
I see each person as a unique individual—someone navigating their own emotional landscape, even if the way forward isn’t yet clear. That’s why I offer a calm, confidential, and judgment-free space where you can feel truly heard, supported, and respected.
Sometimes, life can become too difficult. Could you benefit from talking to some one about it?
Can Counselling Help Overcome Life's Challenges?
Counselling can help you recognise your inner resources and gain clearer insight into your emotions, thoughts, and life challenges overall. It supports you in clarifying what you feel and think, offering fresh understanding of the issues currently affecting your life. This is a unique opportunity to safely and confidently explore what worries you with the support of a professional, trained therapist.
Therapy increases your self-awareness and helps you reach a deeper understanding of who you are and what you need. In turn, it can enhance your relationships, lift your self-esteem, and help you feel more confident in everyday situations and decisions. Through counselling, you can rediscover healthy coping strategies that support your emotional well-being and overall mental health and stability.
As a result, you may enjoy more fulfilling and meaningful relationships—not only with others, but also with yourself. A therapeutic space provides stability by giving you a regular time to reflect and process your thoughts without judgment. You’ll also be able to step away from the everyday “white noise” that may distract you from focusing on what truly matters. Counselling can help you feel more in control of your choices, your direction, and the way you live your life. Working things through in therapy supports a stronger sense of self and gives you a greater feeling of personal autonomy.

What Can I Help With?
Are you struggling with sleepless nights caused by worries that feel urgent, making it hard to switch off and relax? Work can become incredibly stressful and overwhelming, often draining your energy and motivation, which leaves you feeling emotionally exhausted and mentally worn down. Relationships may feel confusing and heavy, causing you to feel disconnected, as though you’ve lost your spark and joy for life. Over time, it might seem like you no longer enjoy the things you used to love in the same way.
You might be feeling low, stuck in depression, or grieving the painful loss of someone you deeply loved and cared for. Recovering from a breakup can be hard, leaving you lost and unsure how to move forward or where to begin. Perhaps you catch yourself repeating the same mistakes over and over again, without understanding why or how it keeps happening. Counselling offers a safe space to explore these patterns and experiences with someone who’s fully present and supportive of your journey.
Together, we’ll examine what’s holding you back and what’s preventing you from building deeper, more fulfilling and meaningful relationships. A therapeutic space is created where you can focus on what truly matters to you, free from judgment or outside pressures interfering. It helps you build emotional resilience and inner resources, supporting your growth and boosting your confidence and self-esteem over time.

Low Mood, Sadness, Depression
Whether you’re feeling sad, lonely, or struggling with depression, talking to someone can provide invaluable emotional support and comfort. You might be going through the motions, lacking confidence, and experiencing low self-esteem—talking to a therapist can help.
Depression can feel incredibly overwhelming, leaving you isolated and making it difficult to find a way out of the despair. These feelings may cause you to feel hopeless, helpless, and as though nothing you do will ease the heaviness you’re experiencing.
Have you noticed any recent changes in your appetite, or significant weight gain or loss that you can’t explain? Perhaps you’re struggling to fall asleep, stay asleep, or you’re sleeping far more than usual—these too can be signs of depression.
Speaking with a trained therapist can offer support and practical tools to help you manage these difficult emotions and challenges.

Anxiety, Stress, Work-Related Issues
Do you catch yourself often worrying about most things, unable to quiet your anxious mind and find peace? Working in fast-paced environments can be incredibly stressful, triggering feelings of anxiety and contributing to mental health struggles.
Technology has amplified the number of people experiencing anxiety, creating new pressures and challenges in managing daily life. You might find yourself panicking due to job insecurity, financial concerns, or feeling overwhelmed by mounting responsibilities and expectations. Could high levels of stress, workplace bullying, or even discrimination be affecting your well-being?
Occasionally, an unexpected event can leave you struggling to calm your mind and regain control over fearful thoughts. Counselling offers support to help manage anxiety, soothe your thoughts, and provide effective strategies for navigating stress in your daily life.

Relationships
Sometimes, you may find it difficult to engage with others or struggle with finding a long-term partner. Communication with others might feel challenging and often disappointing, making it hard to build meaningful connections.
You could find yourself repeatedly engaging in toxic relationships, unable to break the cycle despite your best intentions. At times, it may seem like you’re hitting a brick wall when trying to communicate with your partner. Perhaps this difficulty in communication stems from patterns learned early in life, shaped by past experiences and relationships.
A difficult upbringing or any form of abuse—emotional, physical, or sexual—can deeply affect the quality of your relationships. Counselling offers a supportive space to explore these issues, family dynamics, and relational challenges that may be preventing you from forming fulfilling, healthy connections.

What Are The Next Steps?
I offer a 15-minute free phone consultation to learn more about why you’re seeking counselling and your needs. This call provides an opportunity for you to ask questions, and for us to determine if we can work well together. It also helps us decide on the next steps, ensuring we’re aligned on how to proceed.
Should you choose to book an initial session, we will dive deeper into your current situation and goals. During this first session, we will discuss what brought you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. Additionally, it allows us to explore how we can work together effectively in future sessions.
Feeling comfortable, at ease, and able to speak openly and confidently is essential in therapy. There’s no commitment to continue if the process or approach doesn’t feel right for you. Sessions will take place weekly, on the same day and at the same time, and you can decide how long you’d like to continue. The length of therapy varies depending on the nature of the issues you wish to explore and work through.
